Brass Boot Dark Burgundy Kudu

$435.00

Made with

Goodyear-welt Construction

Renowned for its durability and ability to be resoled repeatedly, Goodyear-welt construction involves stitching a welt—a strip of leather—around the shoe's perimeter, creating a cavity. After filling the cavity with the shank and cork, the sole is attached, providing strength and water resistance. This construction method results in shoes that are not only long-lasting but also easily repairable, making them a timeless investment in quality craftsmanship.

Utilizing our

Floyd Last

The Floyd Last is a modified version of the Leo and shares many of the same features: a moderate arch, heel control, medial support, and forefront freedom. In contrast to its progeniture, the Floyd last features a taller, more voluminous toe box, providing a classic Americana workwear look.

Our mission

Providing Excellent Service

Our priority has been putting customers in shoes that properly fit them and standing by our amazing products. Many customers have found they have been wearing an incorrect size for years. This has been lost in the market today. We offer the majority of our footwear in D, E, and EEE widths to provide well-fitting footwear.

We encourage customers to ask our team for assistance to ensure the best fit.

Another great boot!

"These are my 6th pair of GS boots and they are exactly what one expects. Great construction, fit and comfort. I love the texture of the Kudu leather! However I keep coming back to GS for their amazing Customer Service. They go above and beyond every single time. Thanks Grant Stone."

Brass Boot, 10. 5 EEE

"This is my first pair of boots in this class of build and material quality - and price point. My feet are a little non-standard, so getting the sizing right via an online process was a struggle - two exchanges to get it right. Some of that's on me not knowing as much about my feet as I thought I did. Now that it's right - wow. Even knowing I've got a break-in process ahead of me that I'm not accustomed to with squishy glue-up boots - I'm stunned at how superb the fit and comfort are out of the box. The boots radiate quality and perfectionism, and they're beautiful. Couldn't be happier so far."

Grant Stone does it again

"Fantastic boot, impeccable quality as always, with packaging that makes others look lackluster. Gorgeous boot, Kudu has a nice texture to it, fantastic."

Charles E. (5/5)

Perfection in a boot

"Can't say enough about how much I love my 3rd pair of Grant Stone Boots. This is my 2nd pair of the Brass style and my favorite so far. I get compliments on them every time I wear them. The stitching is impeccable and they are very well crafted. For sizing purposes, I probably should have gone a half size smaller (11. 5 instead of 12), but a thick pair of winter socks makes up for it. Also, there was no "break-in" period like you sometimes get with other leather boots similar to these"

Antonio A. (5/5)

Great quality

"These ooze craftsmanship. As soon as I unpacked them I was impressed by the quality and feel of the leather. They started breaking in fairly fast and will no doubt keep getting more comfortable over time. I bought two other pairs of Grant Stone after this one so you could say I'm hooked!"

Guillaume G. (5/5)

Super happy and impressed

"Absolutely wonderful boots! The generous toe box is exactly what I was looking for in comfort and the quality is spot on. This won't be my last pair of Grant Stone boots."

Kevin B. (5/5)

I love my new boots

"I love my new boots . I’ve worn them a few times to break them in and I get lots of compliments. Glad I made this purchase."

Joe B. (5/5)

Tough Yet Refined

"These boots are comfortable and I really appreciate the sizing options for people with wide feet. They are well made, comfortable and attractive, I have received numerous compliments. I really like the Kudu leather, soft, but seems durable and scratches easily rub out, and I love the deep burgundy color it has. Look forward to purchasing future Grant Stone footwear. The customer service and help with sizing and exchanges was outstanding."

Joshua B. (5/5)

Tough, unique, comfortable boots

"In short, these Grant Stone Brass Boots in Burgundy Kudu are rugged, high quality boots and are an excellent value. Highly recommended! Boots arrived in about 3 days. The CF Stead Kudu Leather is gorgeous and sturdy - if slightly less thick than my Chromexcel Diesel leather. It's soft and has a supple texture with a unique burgundy color with hints of purple. The kudu leather will exhibit a few scars but it's part of the leather character and nothing too severe in my pair. I really just love this leather. These bad boys are heavy as hell but break-in only took 3-5 all-day wears. The thick leather midsole takes a few wears to eliminate some initial heel slip. After break-in these Brass Boots are very comfortable. The supple leather, thick insole/midsole and lug outsole provide plenty of cushion under foot. Fit: I am a 10D Brannock. I think the 9. 5D (1/2 size down) fit me well. The Floyd last is roomy, especially in the toe box, so they work best for me with thicker socks, which aligns with these being better for colder weather. If you are between Brannock sizes, I'd consider sizing down an extra half size. For example, if you are a 9. 75D, consider a 9D and so on. These Brass Boots in Burgundy Kudu are casual but can be flexed into a smart casual environment (say button down and chinos), especially as a winter, bad weather boot. I wore them in rainy and snowy conditions this winter and they worked great. They also go great with straight fit jeans. This is my third Grant Stone pair (Dune Traveler Loafer, Crimson Diesel) and I think my favorite of the bunch. It's less versatile than the others but I just love the combination of the tough, unique leather, sturdy build and all-day comfort."

No regrets, love them

"Even as EU Import with 80$ shipping and more than 100€ of VAT and import tax on top these are still well worth their price. I have never had a piece of footwear as well built as this. They're roomy, support helped me find the perfect size and break in is going great so far. They're not quite there yet but I can already see the gorgeous full grain insole and midsole construction getting in shape to perfectly fit my feet. If there was a way to buy them directly in the EU, I'd probably get a second pair right away. Too many great leathers to choose from :)"

Q&A

Hello I wear usually a 11.5 in redwing with no insole insert and size 12 if i put in an insert what size would you recommend and if it does not fit do you guys do return
Thanks for reaching out! The majority of our customers in your situation wear 11.5D in our Grant Stone collection. Assuming that you like the fit of your Redwings. If those ever feel snug, you'll probably prefer our 11.5E or 12D. You shouldn't have to force your way into our footwear. Hope this helps.
