Renowned for its durability and ability to be resoled repeatedly, Goodyear-welt construction involves stitching a welt—a strip of leather—around the shoe's perimeter, creating a cavity. After filling the cavity with the shank and cork, the sole is attached, providing strength and water resistance. This construction method results in shoes that are not only long-lasting but also easily repairable, making them a timeless investment in quality craftsmanship.

"Been wearing these about a month now and I'm loving them. The first pair I received had an issue in the left heel, as though there was a tiny ball or pin the center of the heel cup, which made them increasingly painful as I wore them. But Grant Stone told me to ship them back for an exchange, I did, and the new pair are immaculate. The deer leather is a unique look, I'm into it. Scuffs easily but most scuffs will disappear within less than 10 seconds of brushing. Looking forward to seeing these age. I wear size 9 in Doc Martens, Solovairs, Vans, and sneakers, and the 8D fit well for me, even with a thin leather insole and lightly padded Darn Tough socks."
"Impressive quality and leather.. Just stunning"
"Wanted to love these. They are terrible quality. Not sealed well - walking through puddles your feet will get wet. The soles are already beat up and leather scuffed from one walk along a rocky beach shore ? Bought these to be able to scramble and have everyday kick round boots, but these are clearly not them. Going to keep doing what I’m doing and see how long they last. I’m guessing less than 20 wears of any substantial walking, hiking or boot duty."
"Amazing look Incredible fit Sturdy construction There isnt much else to say, they are just an all around great set of boots."
"Love them. My favorite pair of boots I know. The construction and quality are amazing."
"I was hesitant at first, because of the lack of half sizing in larger sizes. I wear a 13 in sneakers, and 12. 5D in Truman boots. I finally went with a 12E based on Grant Stone customer service and the fit is perfect. I tend to lean towards leathers that have unique characteristics, and the black waxed deer fits right up there. It’s somewhat brown, somewhat gray, somewhat black. Well constructed and already trying to decide my next pair."
"I have several boots. It's basically an addiction. This boot is my favorite out of all of them"
"Great boots, I love how they are starting to patina. The build quality is second to none. ."
"Leather appears to be made of cheap grade? Creases occurred on first day of wearing the boots."
