The kicker is the Leo last being utilized on a boot pattern, which offers exceptional support and comfort.
The Waxed Commander leather requires little-to-no maintenance and ages beautifully.

Renowned for its durability and ability to be resoled repeatedly, Goodyear-welt construction involves stitching a welt—a strip of leather—around the shoe's perimeter, creating a cavity. After filling the cavity with the shank and cork, the sole is attached, providing strength and water resistance. This construction method results in shoes that are not only long-lasting but also easily repairable, making them a timeless investment in quality craftsmanship.
Derived from our experience fitting and developing various orthopedic-shaped lasts designed for specific foot shapes, the Leo features a moderate arch, heel control, medial support, and forefront freedom. It embodies a traditional welted shoe shape while prioritizing all-day support and comfort.

This has been lost in the market today. We offer the majority of our footwear in D, E, and EEE widths to provide well-fitting footwear.

"I am loving my Diesel Boot Black Waxed Commander. They were a little stiff at first upon arrival but they have broken in wonderfully the more I've been wearing them the past few weeks. I am definitely impressed by the quality. They have nice, thick leather and the leather insoles are nice and buttery."
"This is about my 12th pair grant stones and my first one with a significant issue. They started out fine, but after a few wears (enough to void the return option) the right tongue started to dive and the instep became painful. I tried all the suggestions from Grant Stone to train it, but it continued to get worse. I took them to a cobbler who put a couple stitches in the tongue to keep it from moving, but the pressure on the instep was incredible and the stitches popped after a day. So I got about two months out of this pair of boots and half of that was uncomfortable and burdensome. Into the trash, shame."

"This is my first pair of Grant Stone boots and I couldn’t be more satisfied. It looks and feels like a quality shoe. Coming from Red Wing Iron Rangers, the fit is about the same in terms of length. A little more snug in the toe box, but that’s expected with the lower toe box height. The lug sole adds some casual flair without making it look too bulky. And there’s decent arch support which should get better over time. The leather looks, feels, and smells amazing. I would definitely consider another pair."

"I wanted something that was rugged enough to wear casually, yet with a bit of character and style. These fit the bill really well. They are beautiful shoes, and look better in person than in photos. They are roomy in the toe area while maintaining a sleek almond-shaped profile. I got the E width and was worried they might look too wide, coming from a Thursday Captain in D, but they look just as sleek while offering more room. The build quality is of course impressive. They are very sturdy, I feel like they will last for decades."
