We developed a natural edge finish to accent the crimson upper, giving it a casual feel. This is "hot stuffed" leather that ages well due to the fat liquors and oils infused into it during the tanning process.
Creasing and color variation is to be expected on these natural, aniline leathers. Each pair will develop differently as each hide is unique.

"I wanted to love these shoes. I am a customer who buys 4-6 pairs of Goodyear-welted shoes a year, and I was ready to make Grant Stone a staple. instead, I'm warning others away. Because their website lacks detailed sizing information, you are forced to consult their support team. I did this numerous times to ensure the fit was right before shipping to Australia. I followed their specific advice, and the sizing was completely wrong. When I raised this, they refused to cover the return shipping. They effectively gave bad advice and then sent me the bill for it. It feels like a strategy to offload risk onto international customers. You might save money on the shoe price, but if you live outside the US, the lack of accountability from their support team makes this a gamble I won't take again. Back to established brands that actually back their service."

- are these shoes all leather?
- The majority of our footwear is leather. We use a leather heel counter, Vegetable tanned leather insoles, quality leather uppers sourced from all around the world, and have created our own lasts from the experience we have in the better grade footwear industry.
- Can the crimson and navy plain toe bluchers be ordered with rubber soles? Saw one in your photos that looked like it had a rubber sole.
- The crimson plain toe Blucher is currently only available with a leather sole. Thanks.
- Will you be getting any new shipments of this shoe in a 10D? Also, is the crimson chromexcel more brown in tone or closer to a color 8?
- Thanks for the question. The 10D will be restocked in the middle of June. The crimson is more of a brown/auburn color vs a burgundy.
- What color shoe cream and or wax do you recommend for these beyond the Venetian creams
- We have used Saphir quite a bit on this leather and usually go for a neutral color. If you would like to darken/deepen the color or cover scuffs which need some color, medium brown waxes would be fine.
