Renowned for its durability and ability to be resoled repeatedly, Goodyear-welt construction involves stitching a welt—a strip of leather—around the shoe's perimeter, creating a cavity. After filling the cavity with the shank and cork, the sole is attached, providing strength and water resistance. This construction method results in shoes that are not only long-lasting but also easily repairable, making them a timeless investment in quality craftsmanship.

"So comfortable! And such a great pattern."
"I love these loafers! I was looking for a shoe that I could wear with a suit to weddings/funerals/work events but that could also do double duty with more relaxed and business casual type clothes. I found that the tassel loafers in black calf are fully appropriate for the most formal events I actually go to (black tie is not on my social calendar) but can still look great in a more casual setting with dark denim or chinos. As normal for Grant Stone, the shoes were also extremely comfortable right out of the box. The shoes literally arrived on a Monday and on the Tuesday I took them as my only work shoe for a 3 day business trip. No break in required. I walked all over the place for long days and had no problems at all. The leather is beautiful, stitching sharp. They look like they will last for ages."
"Classic looks. The instep was slightly tight for the first day or two, but as soon as the sole started to flex, the fit became perfect."
"I don’t usually wear loafers, but wanted something I could wear with a suit or something more casual and these don’t disappoint. Beautiful leather, perfect stitching and just stiff enough to hold their shape but still be comfortable. Plenty of room in the forefoot and a slightly slimmer heel feels really nice to walk in. I wear a 10. 5E in Leo last boots/shoes but went with a 10. 5D for bare feet or thin socks, they fit nearly perfectly. Really glad I grabbed these"
"Overall, solid pair of loafers at the price point. Unfortunately the leather doesn’t appear to be holding up as well as some of my other higher end shoes after two years of wear."
"Good versatile loafer. Would recommend a thin Pedag insole if you need some extra arch support, there’s enough room for it."
"Like I mentioned in my Tassel Loafer Tobacco Calf review, I was pretty hesitant about purchasing tassel loafers. I, like some, equated tassel loafers with the “older crowd”. However, upon unboxing and trying these loafers on, my apprehensions disappeared. These tassel loafers are both versatile and stylish; you can effortlessly pair these with any outfit—formal or informal. These Grant Stone loafer’s punch well above their class in terms of fit and finish. As for sizing, I recommend you go a half size down from your best fitting dress shoes—worked for me. Don’t be hesitant to take a chance on these, you won’t be disappointed!"
"Excellent. Last and fit are fantastic - best loafer last I've tried. I wear an 8.5EEE in Alden Aberdeen and a 42G in Carmina Forest. 8.5E in this last is similar in forefoot to Aberden 8.5EEE, narrower heel. More voluminous all round than Carmina. Vamp tight on instep initially (mine are fairly high, but has softened up."
"Wonderful shoes! Followed GS’s recommendation to buy a half size down and fit is perfect. Leather quality and construction is excellent. I’ll be back to purchase another pair in the near future. Thanks!"
"Nice toebox for wide forefoots. Tight instep. Good overall shape. Packaging was excellent"
