The Nora Boot is our most popular silhouette redesigned for women. The last shape and heel height are optimized for a balanced tread for all-day comfort. No compromises are made in the component and leather category, with each pair using full-grain leather heel counters, insoles, cork filler, and steel shanks.
The Saddle Tan leather is one of our favorites. This vegetable-tanned article is made in one of Italy's boutique tanneries, specializing in the process. The leather is placed in a 'Bottali,' a large barrel that rotates, allowing the organic tanning substances to stay in contact with the article. A complete cycle may take 30 - 35 days. This leather is durable, has the scent of a saddle room, and ages beautifully.
The leather can have prominent vamp breaks and a variation of colors. Since this is a light-colored vegetable-tanned article, areas on the boot may have darker hues.

"I bought a pair of these for my wife for Christmas. GS was sold out in her size, but we placed the order anyway, and the boots nevertheless arrived a week before Christmas. Perfect surprise for her. The fit was spot on out of the gate, and apart from some initial rubbing at her ankle near the mouth of the boot after wearing it for a whole day, they were comfortable from the start. Really great if you want to involve your spouse a bit in your hobby."

"These boots make all of my other “high-end/expensive” footwear feel cheap and disposable—and I guess they are disposable in some sense, eventually. I now own two additional pairs of GS Noras and have lost interest in building my footwear collection with anything else that I had previously enjoyed, with the exception of maybe sneakers and hiking boots, or something specialized. (I’ll definitely be on the lookout for more GS styles. ) You don’t know what you don’t know, so I had no idea what true, premium, Goodyear welt quality felt like until these boots. Is this the first time I’ve seen a truly well-built shoe? Possibly. Absolutely blown away and while I felt completely spoiled for spending so much on a pair, it’s worth every penny. I watched a video review of a cobbler attempting to take apart and resole his own GS and it proved challenging for him…because they’re so well made. Hopefully they’ll last a long time, and I’m definitely looking forward to many years of use. A word on sizing. My sneaker size and typical size is 8. 5 so I ordered 8. 5. At first they felt very roomy in the front but perfect on the sides so I kept the size. They do feel very heavy at first and you might find yourself feeling like you’re walking around in a bigger size and having to compensate a bit with more intentional steps. Definitely check with GS first but for me at least, they feel more and more comfortable and “normal” with use. Just not used to the quality and weight nor the almond shape but glad I didn’t size down! Even wearing an insert or double socks makes them feel a bit too tight and small, and the fit/feel aligns with how they describe in the booklet for the intended fit. No hot spots and am still breaking in but so, so happy with these!!!!"

"I bought these boots 2.5 months ago and I am IN LOVE. This is my first pair of real boots (graduating from Doc Martens) and I'm beyond happy with them. I had emailed customer support a month before to ask them about sizing, in which each time they got back to me within one business day. I had also bought a pair of cedar trees and Grant Stone was nice enough to ship my new boots with the trees inside of them! It was an excellent touch that I really appreciated. The boots were comfortable from the jump and most of the stiffness eased up in a few wears. They still have a strong scent of leather which I'm absolutely intoxicated by. From a novice's eyes, the construction is slick and the boots have slightly darkened as they develop a patina. The deepened color is warm and inviting and it makes me reach for this pair of boots even as the weather is muggy and hot outside. Keep in mind that veg tan leather shows water droplets prominently, but the water stain dissipates as is dries (and is def aided by brushing the boots). I don't think I could have gone with a better pair of boots as my first "big girl" pair and I'm a full GS convert now. I'll be looking forward to get my hands on the new loafers or a pair of Chelseas next!"

"Absolutely gorgeous boot, like a work of art. I the Nora boot in Saddle, ordered my usual size (8.5) and they seem to be fine in terms of fit, and while there's air at the very tip of the boot, I think that's not unusual. I understand the Nora is basically their Diesel boot but reworked slightly for women. The presentation is well thought-out, functional and feels luxurious without being ornate: boots arrive in their individual dust bags, and a substantial grey foam piece between the two keep them safe and stable. There's even a finger hole in the box so you can easily get them out, nice design! I really like this company and their product. One tip: if you need to see more pictures of your boot before pulling the trigger (I certainly did!), they're on Instagram. I received a discount code for joining their mailing list which felt great to get on my first pair."
