Chromexcel leather tanned by Horween in Chicago is incredibly resilient while offering unparalleled character. The hot-stuffed tannage's natural oils and waxes create an unmistakable pull-up effect and supple feel. Creasing and color variation are to be expected on these natural, aniline leathers. Each pair will develop differently as each hide is unique.

The Cadillac of Horsebit Loafers

"They look and feel very robust. Which may seem counterintuitive for a loafer, but I actually appreciate the heft. The biggest hurdle was the sizing, as I have a wide foot from barefoot running. I usually wear EU41/US8/UK7 in sneakers, but for this I went 7. 5E. Buyer beware, this was supposed to fit TTS, but, for a reason I can't quite recall, I ended up going half a size down. . . And they fit like a glove. (With socks on, that is. They slip a bit without socks, but hopefully the leather molds to my feet with more wears. ) Everything about the loafer itself is amazing. From the leather to construction, no complaints. It is everything I hoped it would be and more. The chromexcel leather is really beautiful, almost don't want it to darken with age. But maybe that's just an excuse to buy another pair of shoes in a lighter brown. I am very pleased with my order from Grant Stone shoes, and see myself buying again. Just make sure to figure out your size first."

"This is my favorite Grant Stone loafer and maybe my favorite GS product overall. I love its looks, and this particular last fits my feet better than that of the Penny. Incredibly versatile and easy to wear. People talk about GS quality control, I 100% agree. Upon careful examination I cannot find a single construction flaw with any of my GS loafer pairs. Incredible. I am also an unapologetic fanboy of Viberg, but you can get the same quality from GS at a fraction of the price. Buy these, wear these for years and years, and don’t look back."

"There really are nice shoes really solid Construction and look to them. The fit is quite neutral not too big not too small not too tight not too loose. I only give it four stars because for the price I was expecting something a bit more elevated. I have not worn them yet, disclaimer, so cannot comment on comfort but like I said above initial fitting with dress socks was spot on."
