The Floyd last runs a half-size large. Our customers typically take our Floyd-lasted footwear a half-size down from their average size. However, if you have low volume feet, you may want to go a full size down.

The Floyd Last is a modified version of the Leo and shares many of the same features: a moderate arch, heel control, medial support, and forefront freedom. In contrast to its progeniture, the Floyd last features a taller, more voluminous toe box, providing a classic Americana workwear look.

This has been lost in the market today. We offer the majority of our footwear in D, E, and EEE widths to provide well-fitting footwear.

"Another hit from Grant Stone. The Baroda Boot in Butterum is a touch more elegant and dressy than the Brass Boot, built on the Floyd last, which is extremely comfortable and has great proportions. The Charles F. Stead leather is outstanding — a rich gold hue that’s tough, durable, and perfectly contrasted by the darker lug sole. They fit exceptionally well, look fantastic with denim or anything else, and now that they’re on sale, they’re an absolute no-brainer."
"Enough reviews on Grant Stone quality and style. I'm a big fan and own boots in the Diesel, Ottawa and Garrison, all built on the Leo last. Had my eyes on the Baroda in the Butterum color but was hesitant on ordering because was not confident on how the fit would be on the Floyd last. Although seen many reviews recommending size 1/2 down from your Leo last, I took Grant Stones recommendation and ordered them in the same size as I wear in the Leo last, 11. 5E. Definitely roomier than the Leo last but they fit great. I suspect 1/2 size smaller would also work but I believe the whole idea of this last is to allow more wiggle room in your toes compared to the sleeker fit of the Leo last. Love the CF Stead leather and the Butterum color has a beautiful golden hue that is more unique and brighter than a natural CXL roughout. Appreciate the extra room in the toes too. Still appreciate the looks and fit of the other styles but hoping GS offers more unique leathers on the Baroda last. Just ordered the Black Bison on the Garrison last. Would have preferred to have this available on the Baroda."
"Typical Grant Stone quality which is to say impeccable. Not a stitch out of place. The Butterrum suede is beautiful. Gorgeous color and contrary to other reviews, I find it very easy to style. Not Very dressy boot but definitely looks fantastic worn casually. In terms of comfort, the suede is butter soft and felt great immediately upon lacing up. I do wear orthotics so I can’t comment on the footbed or arch comfort but in my application, I was able to wear them from 8:30 am to 9:30 pm without any discomfort and I can say that for me that is rare. I really wish they would do these in the same leather but offer a few different colors. I’d definitely buy more. As for the Baroda boot itself, I’ve also got a couple pairs of Brass boots in both cxl and veg tan and these are pretty much the same boot with the exception of the moc stitch and the smaller Edward boot eyelets. I’m very happy with my purchase and will definitely be buying more GS products. This is is my sixth pair of GS boots and I’ve not had a single defect with any of them. The only issue I’ve had has been getting sizes correct and I now have that dialed in. I can say with certainty, these will be at the top of my rotation for quite a while. They are just too comfortable and nice looking to leave sitting there."

"Very unique appearance on these boots. I wasn't sure about getting them, but I'm glad I did. They look great in person, and are very comfortable as the suede upper is soft and pliable without requiring break-in. The polished brass hardware also looks great on them. The fit is a bit roomier in the toe-box, but I went with the same size as I do with all my other Grant Stone Diesel boots, and they fit me well. Overall, another solid pair of well-crafted boots by GS."
