The Brass boot offers great build quality.
"Grant Stone offers excellent build quality and attention to detail from an American company. The Brass boot in black chromexcel with lug sole utilizes materials and build rate that equals or surpasses my Alden Indy’s (9D), Oakstreet Bootmakers Field (9D), and Allen Edmonds Higgins Mill boots (10D), all of which cost $60-$300 more. My only complaint is with customer service. I initially reached out to Grant Stone in the past related to sizing and was referred to the sizing on their website. I ordered a 9.5D, and it was incorrect. I called and left a message with a follow-up email. I received an email that referred me to the website sizing. After not receiving a call back as requested, I exchanged them for a 9D, which I received quickly. I sent a second email related to the Traveler penny loafer sizing and did not receive any communication. I ordered a 9 D, and it will arrive today. I hope that I don't have to return for another size. Maybe my experience with their customer service is unusual. Despite my minor issues, if you want a high-quality product with excellent materials, and build quality at a reasonable price, don't hesitate to try them. The only question is, do you care that the product is assembled in China and not in the United States?"
